About

We read the research. Love is still complicated.

Love, in Theory explores the gap between what research can tell us about relationships and what it feels like to live them. A message left unanswered. An old friendship that still feels like home. A pet who somehow knows when to sit beside you.

We turn studies about dating, family, friendship, and our bonds with animals into stories for everyday readers. The aim is to make good research interesting and understandable, without turning one finding into a universal rule.

Meet The Theorist

The Theorist is the pen name behind this blog. The name is a small joke about learning love on paper: understanding the theory does not necessarily make the practice easier.

This is an independent editorial blog, not a research institution or a counselling service. Articles draw on published research, explain important limitations, and leave room for uncertainty. They are intended for general information and reflection, not personal medical or mental-health advice.

Expect a little humour, a few uncomfortable recognitions, and sources you can follow for yourself.
